There is no record of his life after his selection as a Apostle to succeed Judas Iscariot. Tradition says that he preached and suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia.

He was the Apostle to the Gentiles. Died in Rome about 68AD and may have been 58.  
Did three missionary Journeys.


Note:- The word a Apostle is sometimes applied in the New Testament, to prominent Christian workers, of special gifts, and abundant labors. Barnabas a companion of Paul, is a notable instance. He was sent forth by the Holy Spirit to engage in Missionary work Acts 13:1-3, Acts 14:4-14. Tradition says that Andronicus and Junia, who were called Apostles Romans 16:7 belonged to the order of the Seventy sent forth by Jesus.
